Kitchen, Bar & Café
Genesis is home to two fantastic eateries serving delicious fresh food all day long.
The Grindhouse Café
Located in our beautifully renovated foyer, the Grindhouse Café is open from 9am every morning serving delicious coffee from London’s leading micro-roastery Nude Espresso, and freshly-baked pastries and Cro-doughs from nearby 100 year-old family bakery Rinkoff. We also serve fresh Paninis made in-house daily.
Furnished with comfy sofas and with free wifi available, the café is a lovely setting to while away a morning or catch up with friends over a delicious lunch.
Open Monday – Friday from 5pm, Saturday & Sunday from 4pm.
The Kitchen, situated upstairs at Genesis Cinema, is sister to Bar Paragon, and serves famous Pieminister Pies with delectable Creamy Mash, Minted Mushy Peas and Red Wine Gravy.
British beef steak, cracked pepper and real ale.
Free range British Chicken with field and chestnut mushrooms.
Somerset goats cheese, spinach, sweet potato, red onion and roast garlic.
Bar Paragon is located upstairs, in the heart of Genesis Cinema, and is open every evening, serving delicious cocktails to cinema-goers and non-cinema-goers alike.
Open from 5pm Monday-Friday and 4pm Saturday & Sunday.
Bar Paragon is home to many regular events, including the Genesis Poetry Slam, S4 Film Club and The Good, the Bad, the Unseen. For more details, please check out our Events page or our Eventbrite page.
We have a large range of classic cocktails, plus our signature drinks:
Our signature Martini, a floral fusion of English rose, elderflower and lychee, shaken with gin and echoing the orient of the original Chinatown nearby.
Vanilla vodka, apricot, lemon juice, vanilla sugar and Angostura aromatic bitters. A vodka sour with a blast of apricot and vanilla.
Spiced rum, butterscotch liqueur, cinnamon syrup, fresh apple juice and a squeeze of lime. The perfect winter warmer!
