A VERY CURIOUS GIRL tells the story of an oppressed and exploited young woman (Marie), who begins charging for her sexual favors and completely disrupts the smug patriarchal capitalist society of the village of Tellier.
Another Gaze Feminist Film Club presents the first of its screenings of films by women directors who are part of the 'In Conversation With' interview series. The screening will open with a long cut of Another Gaze's interview with Nelly Kaplan in Paris, and close with a discussion with the great feminist film theorist Laura Mulvey.
Another Gaze is an intersectional feminist film journal and documentary series of video interviews with women filmmakers from across the world. The first print issue will be released this spring.
