Synopsis

Forget everything you've known about musicals... Genesis presents musiCULTS, a season of dirty, daring and in your face flicks that will make you reconsider the genre as a whole.

We're closing the season with a 35mm presentation of Bob Fosse's CABARET introduced by a performamce by CASSANDRA...

CASSANDRA is a surreal, salty, siren sensation of the sea. Born from a painting at art school, she now roams around London singing her siren song, entrancing and seducing anyone in proximity to hear the echoes of her bellows. Originally from Southend on Sea, she swam all the way up the Thames estuary to London, to find her dreams of underground scenes like the 1980s New Romantics, and has ended up in an abandoned hospital in Chingford where she currently resides— A fixture on the East End queer club kid and drag queen scene, CASSANDRA is an enthralling force of nature. She is also an electronic singer songwriter music producer, and is currently working on new music and becoming a new wave chanteuse and pop provocateur !

Sally is a cabaret dancer at the Kit Kat Klub and falls in love with two men who are regulars at the club. Their lives get entwined with the Nazi Party that is slowly growing in power.
