Synopsis

Tarantino On Screen-o

We mark the release of Quentin Tarantino's latest motion picture Once Upon A Time In Hollywood with a mini-season of some of his better contributions to the world of cinema.

True Romance was one of the first scripts Quentin Tarantino sold. Director Tony Scott brought a unique aesthetic approach to his sharp, ballistic screenplay and the film, with its central pairing of doomed lovers in homage to Bonnie & Clyde and Badlands, is one of the great modern road movies - with lashings of Elvis, cocaine and unflinching violence to boot.

A comic-book nerd and Elvis fanatic Clarence and a prostitute named Alabama fall in love. Clarence breaks the news to her pimp and ends up killing him. He grabs a suitcase of cocaine on his way out thinking it is Alabama's clothing. The two hit the road for California hoping to sell the cocaine, but the mob is soon after them.
